Jonathan Raymond Marr was born in Waterville, Maine, the son of a USMC Vietnam Veteran and Purple Heart recipient. From a young age, Jonathan learned that success is achieved through hard work, whether balancing academics and varsity athletics or learning the electrical trade from his father. In 1990, he began his service in the US Navy as a Mineman, eventually transitioning to the Maine Army National Guard as a Huey Mechanic while pursuing his electrical education.
After graduating on the Dean’s List with degrees in Electrical Construction and Industrial Electrical/Electronics, Jonathan earned his Journeyman license in 1996. His career has spanned from residential service to large-scale industrial projects, including work on nuclear power plants and pipelines throughout New England. In 2002, he relocated to Florida to be closer to family, a move that would eventually lead to the founding of his own business legacy.
A Stage 3 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor, Jonathan used his recovery period to further his education, earning both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Business Management. This unique combination of field expertise and academic insight allowed him to scale AA Action Electric into a powerhouse. Between 2018 and 2020, the company grew to employ over 60 electricians.
Today, Jonathan has strategically scaled the operation to a more personal, centrally located office in Fort Myers, ensuring high-quality oversight for every client. In 2021, Jonathan earned his State EC License, securing the future of the company. When he isn’t leading his management team, Jonathan is a dedicated family man—a husband to Geri, a father of three, and a grandfather to six. As a lifelong athlete and "rabid" Boston Bruins fan, he can still be found on the ice playing in local hockey leagues, bringing that same competitive drive and optimism to the future of AA Action Electric.
